Post-It Phrase of the Day: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
Summer wrote all of these notes. She says, “Operation Beautiful has gotten me through soooo much! I am 15, and I was bulimic for the longest time. I went to a public bathroom once to purge what I had just eaten, and I saw an Operation Beautiful note on the mirror telling me to stay strong and that I was beautiful. That was the very first time I had stopped myself from throwing up on purpose and it made me realize how much more there was to me. I took the note home. I’m still in recovery and I post random notes in all the public places I can get my hands on, especially in dressing rooms in stores and stuff because that’s where I feel the most insecure about myself.”
Candi put this note up in her school’s bathroom:
Nikki wrote, “I found this post-it at the Dollar General in Silverhill, Alabama. Someone knew I needed a little pick me up from all the recent stress I’ve been under.”
Kayla, Colette, and Ashley have brought Operation Beautiful to their community. Here are some of the notes that they have posted!
Amanda wrote, “This inspired me to start leaving positive notes on my co-workers computers while they are away from their desks… actually I think I will write up a whole stack of post-it’s to carry in my purse so I can put them up everywhere!”
