Post-It Phrase of the Day: “They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.”

Jessica wrote, “I found this the other day, while it’s not an "Operation Beautiful" post-it, I thought it fit well and made me smile. I had Leukemia when I was 5 (18 years out of treatment, woohoo!) and I go to the children’s hospital clinic where I was treated yearly for a check -up/ survivorship meeting. I saw this in the playroom/waiting area this week while I was in for a check up. These check ups are always very sobering, because while I had it relatively easy compared to most, there are always others there who are visibly fighting for their lives. Its especially heartbreaking because they are children (and some, babies). Some days its easy to become anxious about my past and my health, but this artwork made me realize that there is nothing wrong, everything has happened the way it should and really empowered me!”
