Transforming the way you see yourself one post-it note at a time
Last week I was coming home from being on Vacation and we were driving. We were at the boarder and I went to use the washroom. on the back of the stall I saw a little post-it note. I read it and on the note it said, “You are beautiful even when you’ve been travelling all day.” As soon as I read it I got tears in my eyes. I thought it was the nicest thing someone could have done! It made my day. I took that post it and have it in my purse. I am going to buy post its and I will start doing this aswell. The smallest thing can make someones day. 🙂
Sara Marie, did you find it in Buffalo? Cause it sounds just like one I put up at the border crossing there! I’ve been putting them up for almost a year, and usually I put them up for myself as much as for anyone else! I’m so glad it made your day! You’ve blessed me just by writing that!
I’m actually really glad I found this site.
Someone today said something mean about my best friend, concerning a photo posted on facebook. She basically said she looked like a skank, and it made my friend very upset. My best friend is the nicest, most caring person I know, and the fact that someone would say that about her really upset me. I was thinking about what I could do to cheer her up, and I remembered this site. So I snuck a little note into her bag saying “Just wanted to remind you that you are perfect no matter what anyone else thinks.” When I got home, I had a message on Facebook saying “….thnx u for my note in my diary 🙂 made me smile so so so so much!”
So, yeah, I just wanted to say thanks 😀 I would have never thought to do that otherwise, and it made my friend smile! So thank you 🙂 🙂
Once at a stadium where my friends and I were watching a performance, I saw a few purses scattered around in chairs near us. I pulled out some sticky notes, wrote a note for each purse, and snuck around to stick them in pockets. I love Operation Beautiful! It makes me so happy to see all the kindess and love in three or four words. <3
This site makes me want to be a better person in the world…I love the notes…this is my first time on this site!
I play roller derby and am bigger than what most people find attractive, but I am not ashamed; I feel powerful in my rollerskates and am becoming stronger and more beautiful each time I skate.
