Send your own Operation Beautiful Note to Caitlin at [email protected], and it will be posted on the site. If you have a blog, be sure to include a link!  It takes about three weeks for a photograph to show up on the site, so be patient! :)

Write a motivating note on a post it and put it up in a public place– such as on a bathroom mirror, in the gym locker room, or even on a random car’s windshield.  If you want, you can write the web address www.OperationBeautiful.com on the bottom so other women can find the site!

I was sitting in my schools computer lab when a random guy leaned forward and passed me a yellow post-it note. As he passed it to me he said “hey, this is your late valentines day gift”. I giggled and immediately put it in my coat pocket. When I got home and took my coat off, the post-it fell on the ground. When I picked it up it read “You are amazing” and at the bottom it said “operationbeautiiful.com. This is the most thoughtful site I’ve come across in a long time. I Support your mission!

i think that this is a truly inspirational site and i love it! it is a great idea and i will be looking forward to posting more notes for students in my local school. my friend introduced me to this and she has helped me learn that everybody can be a different size and shape and treating everybody the same way is an amazing way to show people that yes you are just the same as them.

I have a paper of picture cutouts that my daughter made for me when she was about 10. I have it hanging in my kitchen to remind me what’s important. One of the cutouts is a picture of an operation beautiful post-it. Then I saw something on Friday that reminded me of your cause. I was having a really bad morning, having lost my Dad 4 weeks ago. I help out at our school, so I decided to pick myself up and go see the kids at school to get out of my funk but operation beautiful was still on my mind all day. So in the elementary teachers’ bathroom, they have post-its where you can leave little messages. So, I did. I hope it helps someone, anyone as much as it helped me to leave it there. God bless you all. We need to teach our daughters and ourselves that we are just fine the way we are no matter what anyone says!

Love this idea – what a beautiful commitment to supporting others!! Sometimes it really does take only one comment to change your day, or life for the good or the bad! When I was in 5th grade, my teacher had our class sit in a big circle – she gave us each an index card & write our name on it – then we passed it to the left & were instructed to write on positive attribute about the person who’s name was on the card & then pass all the way around the circle! that was 35 years ago & I STILL HAVE THAT CARD & STILL PULL IT OUT TO LOOK AT IT!!! -… nice eyes, kind, a good friend, fun to be with….I cherish them all!!

The only criticism I have is that MEN need to be inspired just as much as WOMEN. We often neglect our young boys and young men.

This website is extremely amazing! I have started writing notes on sticky notes and sticking them to mirrors in bathrooms! At the end of the day yesterday I visited the bathroom and all of the notes were gone :D I hope that people take them and leave feeling GREAT about themselves! I wish more people were this considerate of women and girls and tried to make them feel beautiful! The mission here is very inspiring and I LOVE IT!

I just started using operation beautiful notes. It feels really good to write to others. I have posted 4 in the school bathroom, 1 in a doctors office, 1 on the band room door, and 4 in random places in DC. I really hope others start doing it too at my school. I’ve been having lots of problems lately and Operation Beautiful has definitely changed the way I see myself. Thank you!!!!

Do the Butterflyproject My daughter was a cutter! Try it I hope this helps you.
submit here! THE RULES:
1. when you feel like you want to cut, take a marker or pen and draw a butterfly wherever the self-harm occurs.
2. name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.
3. NO scrubbing the butterfly off.
4. if you cut before the butterfly is gone, it dies. if you don’t cut, it lives.
5. if you have more than one, cutting kills them all.
6. another person may draw them on you. these butterflies are extra special. take good care of them.
7. even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support.

this is an anoymously-run blog for you. i want to hear your stories. i want to see pictures of your butterflies. please don’t be ashamed to share anything. we are all human, and i’m only here to serve.

all the posts on this blog are submissions from followers who have enough courage to share their lives and their stories with you. i ask that this remain a judgement-free zone. thank you all very much. stay strong.

I never feel confident about my body, face, or behind myself, but now that I tell people through these notes to be themselves and to not care what others think, I guess I have to start believing in myself too

Tell a girl she is pretty, she will believe it for a moment; tell a girl she’s ugly, she will believe it for a lifetime. I don’t know where I heard this, but I find it so true. I love Operation Beautiful because it gives everyone these happy moments that, I hope, will someday outweigh the negative comments. I put around ten post-its at my school and they were gone in less than three hours! :D I love you! <3

My daughter has imbraced Operation Beautiful the last few years. It has been wonderful to watch her Post notes everywhere. She wants to inspire kids at school so she is doing operation beautiful at school in hopes it catches on. There are too many kids being bullied with low-self esteem that turn to cutting. My daughter has been there done that and now wants to reach out and help others feel like they belong cause they do. Thank you Caitlin Boyle for inspiring my daughter!

I was in my room one night and I was thinking about how much I hated myself. I didn’t want to do anything I was going to regret, so I opened my recently bought book from Barnes and Nobles. I reached page 165 and there’s a blue sticky note. “Love yourself! <3" I cried. Thank you so much, you don't understand how much this means to me.

I’m perfect just the way I am and I’m proud to be a part of Operation Beautiful. Wherever I go I bring notes and think OUR IMPERFECTIONS MAKE US UNIQUE, THEREFORE DON’T COVER THEM UP, WE ARE BEAUTIFUL.
