Post-It Phrase of the Day: "Keep up and you will be kept up.”

We need YOUR notes! Post a note, take a picture, and e-mail your story to Caitlin at [email protected].  Each note goes up on the site for thousands of others to read and enjoy!

Teegan loved this message and wanted you all to see it.

Mari wrote, “I’ve struggled with anorexia since I was in seventh grade. It’s been an uphill battle and I tend to find myself on the losing side much too often. One day during my sophomore year of high school I ate something I felt I shouldn’t have and I went into the bathroom to tell myself how awful I was and how I didn’t need to give in to the temptation.  Immediately as I looked into the mirror I found TONS of the little Operation Beautiful notes and I broke into tears. These notes made me cry as I realized that I shouldn’t care what I look like. It’s who I am that matters. And these notes made me feel truly beautiful for the first time in years. That day I went home and told my mom and began my long road to recovery. I also took one of those notes and put it on my mirror to remind myself that I am strong. To remind myself that I am beautiful. Especially when it gets hard. I’m a senior now and I’m in SUCH a better place. I owe it all to Operation Beautiful and the wonderful stranger who posted that note in the bathroom. Thank you so very much for this wonderful site and the wonderful people who changed my life.”

Laura wrote, “Made this in a lecture and handed it to a girl I know. She needed some cheering up today.”

Amani wrote, “I was sitting in a cubicle at school studying and saw this written on some wood in my cubicle. It made me smile and prompted me to look up the web page! Can’t wait to leave a note of my own somewhere.”

Kristin wrote, “I’m a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine. This past Friday I organized a GLOW Day Camp for the older girls aged 14-17 in my district. GLOW Camp is a leadership camp, organized by Peace Corps Volunteers. The day camp facilitated discussion on self-esteem and positive body image. After the lesson on positive body image we told the girls about Operation Beautiful and asked the girls to write something nice on post-it-notes to put up around the school.”
